Matthews Asia Announces VP, Senior Business Development Hire

In this newly created role based in Hong Kong, Tina will be responsible for supporting the firm’s business development and client service activities in Asia.

Hong Kong, September 25, 2013—Matthews Asia (Matthews), announces the appointment of Tina Tong as Vice President, Asia Business Development. In this newly created role based in Hong Kong, Tina will be responsible for supporting the firm’s business development and client service activities in Asia, focusing on private banks, insurers and financial advisors.
 
Tina has 15 years of experience in the Asian financial services industry, including 7 years as Director of Business Development at Peak Capital, where she was responsible for introducing investment strategies from specialist investment managers to institutions, private banks, insurers and financial advisors.
 
Reporting to James Campion, Head of Asia Business Development, this hire marks an important step in the continued build-out of Matthews Asia’s operations in the region and highlights the company’s long-term commitment to its clients and partners in Asia.

The Board of Directors of the Matthews Asia Funds may, at its discretion, pay dividends out of the capital in respect of the distribution shares of its relevant sub-funds.
