Matthews Asia Funds Trustee

Toshi Shibano has been a Matthews Asia Funds Trustee since 2003, and has been President and Founder of Executive Financial Literacy, Inc., since 1995. Dr. Shibano has over 30 years of experience in business management, research and teaching. Since 2000, he has been on the faculty of the Advanced Financial Management Program at General Electric’s John F. Welch Leadership Development Center at Crotonville, New York. From 1995-2016, he served as Faculty Director and Instructor at the Center for Executive Education, UC Berkeley, Haas School of Business. He has taught at the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business; the Columbia University Graduate School of Business; the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business; and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He received a B.A. from Brown University, an M.B.A from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business and a PhD from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
